“ I think, every occasion happened in cause-effect relationship…”
“ I would find and do anything else to forget all my problems…”
“ I know how to overcome my problems, because I know the causes…”
“There is rational reason for everything that happens in this world… ”
Those were the conversations with some friends of mine, in a campus lawn in Sydney, while we were having lunch. The question was “do you believe in outer power, another stronger power beyond us”. Or, radically, “do you believe in God? does God REALLY exist?”
We keep questioning about this thing. It could be understood, as we life in a very rationalistic world at the moment. Everything must be proven empirically and evidenced statistically through research, observation, tangible evidences, and so on.
There is no wrong or right answer for that question. Everybody has his/her opinion. As God gives us free will and free understanding, and so do we have a free choice, whether to believe in God or not. Then, human, in the name of God, created “religion”, and some of us claimed that a particular religion was the best. Again, it was not wrong, as far as we don’t force other people to follow our opinion, which lead to a fanaticism.
Unfortunately, we forget that God never created religion, but human. We trapped into a situation where we have no respect each other, and even, killing each other. Some tragic moments happen around the world that might make our tear dropped while we were remembering people who become the victim. September 11, Irak war, Bali bombing, Tentena bombing and other horrible occasions around the world were evidences of human brutality under fanaticism of particular believe. We believe that it is not the fruit of the sacred thing behind the religion itself, but it is merely human acts, for their own pride and satisfaction.
“Why don’t we just be kind to other people, rather than killing each other in the name of God?” That question surprised me until now. Yes, we who believe in a very sacred and holy God could hurt other people and could take people’s life. I wanted to say “yes, why don’t we?” However, we are chosen people. God had chosen us to be His children who believe in Him. We don’t chose Him, He chose us. And this is a kind of bless, and we must be thankful become His chosen people.
“Where is your God, who loves You, but forsaken You” This was the question, while Jesus was hung on the cross. We’re always seeking God, and keep shouting “where are You God? Why do you let this happen to me? We forget, that God is our heart, in our life, in every single thing that happens in our life. Even, through the storm in our life, He is really there for us….
The same question is still there “does God really exist?”.
There is no definition of God
There is no empirical evidence about God
There is no tangible appearance of God
He who is invisible
He who has no sound
He who gives the sun to goodies and baddies
He who is as far but as close to us
He who cerates the earth
He who gives life to us
He who loves us
He who turns the tides and calm the angry sea
With faith, we believe, He really exists.
With faith, we confess, He is the true God
With faith, we would say, He is the living God
“Kawula ngakeni, ing ngarsanipun Gusti Sang Maha Kuasa
Bilih kawula sampun nglampahi dosa, srana gagasan, tetembungan,
Tindak tanduk, saha ing pakerti ingkang damel boten renaning penggalih Dalem
Awit saking lepat kawula, pramila kawula nyuwun, kaliyan sederek sedaya, supados nyembayangaken kawula tiyang dosa punika, dumateng Gusti Sang Maha Kwasa, supados kawula luwar saking dosa-dosa kawula.”
Berhagialah mereka yang tidak melihat namun percaya..karena PERCAYA ITU INDAH
